Roger Corbin Managing Director/Senior Flying Instructor

With 28 years in the aviation industry, Roger is a Grade 1 Instructor and CASA Approved Testing Officer with delegations for: FIR, CIR, CPIR, NVFR, NVG, CPL, PPL & GFPT.

Roger has been conducting rescue operations since 1982 and has extensive mountain flying and remote area experience in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South East Asia. He has been involved with EMS, SAR, Fire Fighting, Marine Pilot Transfers, Sling and Long Line Operations as well as Training.

Roger has 20 years management experience and more than 12,000 flight hours as well as an Air Transport Pilot Licence for both Helicopter and Fixed Wing.


Roger’s dynamic and progressive management style has been the driving force behind the Academy’s  growth into advanced flying training,  in particular the development of NVG training and operations. Roger has an enviable record in the quality refurbishment of single and twin engine helicopters. This skill, as well as his detailed knowledge of the market place has empowered him to commit considerable resources and infrastructure towards the development of the Academy.
